Catherine is dedicated to the mental health field and the art of therapy. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist she is deeply committed to the well-being of children, adolescents, adults, and families. Catherine currently serves as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist with Path Mental Health Services providing telehealth services for adults and adolescents within the state of California with multiple managed care companies.

Catherine served for 4 years as a Mental Health Clinician for Remarkable Marriage and Family Institute in Walnut Creek, CA serving children, adolescents, adults, and families for the Contra Costa County Medi-Cal population. In addition to being an MHC, Catherine served as the Clinical Director and a Clinical Supervisor for Remarkable’s LUHSD school-based counseling program.

Catherine has extensive 11 years plus experience serving foster youth and families in mental health from Alameda County, Contra Costa county and San Francisco County as a Mental Health Clinician and collaborating with wraparound services and Intensive Service Foster Care with Alternative Family Services Foster/Adopt agency. She has also served as a supervisor for the agency’s Alameda County Katie A/Intensive Care Coordinator program for 4 years. She served as a Clinical Supervisor for AMFT, ASW and APCC associates accruing licensure hours and provided multiple trainings for mental health staff and foster parents on various clinical topics. She worked with Regional Center’s Early Intervention unit – infants/toddlers (ages 0 – 3 population) and their families with special needs.

She is trained and has experienced with Evidenced Based Practices, which includes Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and has a certification in Triple P – Positive Parent Practices. She has experience with the African American culture and has facilitated training for several organizations on Depression and the African American Culture. Catherine’s 10-year experience as a former educator in the academic arena has enhanced her support with client and families with educational advocacy and linkage of services.

I have gained these skills during my time as an intern with Omega Mental Health and continue to grow under supervision as an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor to best meet the diverse needs of Central Valley’s underserved communities and populations. Specialties — I have been trained to practice faith-based interventions along with other theoretical orientations such as Solution-Focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Existential as my primary modalities. I am EMDR Trained and am working towards EMDR Certification. I am open to using varying treatment styles based on client needs.
