Associate Marriage and Family Therapist | Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor

I believe that every person has a story worth hearing and that understanding where we ve been is an important part of discovering where we want to go. With more than 30 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, and education, I have had the privilege of walking alongside individuals and families through some of life's most difficult challenges.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is wrong with someone, but about understanding their experiences, recognizing their strengths, and rediscovering their capacity for growth, hope, and connection.
My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a deep respect for each person's unique journey. I am especially passionate about understanding trauma, the connection between the mind and body, and how our experiences shape our relationships, emotions, and behaviors. I believe in whole-person healing which includes mind, body, and spirit and I recognize that faith, spirituality, and personal values can be meaningful sources of strength and resilience. I welcome these conversations while honoring each individual's beliefs and experiences.
Drawing from person-centered, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches, I help individuals explore patterns of behavior, develop healthier coping strategies, strengthen relationships, and create meaningful change. I believe that many of our responses to life's challenges began as ways to survive difficult circumstances. By approaching these patterns with compassion rather than judgment, we create space for understanding, healing, and growth. I earned my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary and am a Certified Substance Use Disorder Counselor. I also serve as an adjunct professor at Madera Community College, where I enjoy sharing my passion for understanding human behavior, addiction, and recovery with future professionals.
Above all, I believe healing happens through connection. My hope is to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, relationship challenges, substance use, or life transitions, I believe your past does not have to define your future. Together, we can honor your story, rediscover your strengths, and explore the possibilities of a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
